Director-General of the Ghana Ports and Habours Authority, Michael Achagwe Luguje has asked Ghanaians to expect to see structures nearing completion on the project site earmarked for the Keta Ports by August next year.
According to Mr. Michael Achagwe Luguje , much has been done behind the scenes, with a lot of companies showing interest in partnering government undertake the said project, which will change the face of the Keta Municipality and the Region as a whole.
The Director-General who was in the company of the Board Chairman of Ghana Ports and Habours Authority, Mr. Mac Manu, the Reginal Minister, Dr. Yao Letsa and Board members of the authority were in the Municipality to officially introduce the newly appointed Director for the yet to be constructed Keta Sea Port project, Dr. Alex Adusei, to the Awomenfia of the Anlo Traditional Area, Togui Sri III.
Speaking to the Media, Dufia of Kedzi,
“I am happy to be one of the chiefs in the area to be witnessing an occasion like this. This is because the people of this area have been crying for economic development, and it’s one of the projects that will impact positively on the economic activities of this area, create jobs and so on. What else can a government provide than a project like this,” Torgui Joachim Acolatse said.
He further expressed appreciation to the president for showing commitment towards the project by signing the executive instrument, a very significant aspect of the process.
