The Minister of Health, Hon. Kwaku Agyemang Manu has commissioned the Allied Health Profession Council Building at the Korle Bu Teaching to help the health care delivery system in the country.
The new allied professions council building which has about 14 offices is to help the health sector in its increasing needs and demands.
Speaking at the commissioning of the new building, Hon. Kwaku Agyemang Manu stressed that the new building demonstrates the ministry commitment to strengthen the allied health professions council in the country and urged the staffs and management of the allied health and professions council at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital to adopt good maintenance of the new building to help improve the health delivery in the country.
He stressed that the new building is going to help the health sector to meets its increasing needs and demands and called on the management on the board to crack down allied health professionals who use fake licenses or certificates in the country.
The Registrar of the Allied Health Professions Council at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Dr. Yaw Opoku, said it was his ambition to make sure, allied health profession council in the country will be of the best health sector and improve the allied sectors.
He stated that they are going to make sure Allied Health professionals will have good professional skills on how they are trained and make sure they can offer good service for Ghanaians. He further promised that those who practice with a fake license be presented to law enforcement agencies to face the law when identified.
