Work Progresses on C’ty Center and 20-seater water closet at Sankor Community

In meeting the developmental needs of his people and eradicating open defecation in his constituency, the Member of Parliament for Effutu Constituency, Hon. Alexander Afenyo-Markin has provided a state a 20-seater water closet facility to the people of the Sankor community.

The 20-seater facility for the Sankor community also comes along with a mechanized bore-hole system. Other communities who have already benefitted from similar facilities include Sakagyano, Nsuakyiree, Ansaful Winneba Zongo and Ekroful.

A visit to the various construction sites indicates that work was progressing steadily. The residents expressed their joy and as usual, recounted some of the benefits they are going to derive from the projects. 

According to some of the residents, the community center, for instance, is going to provide them with a meeting place to meet regularly to discuss the developmental issues of their community and serve numerous purposes as well.

A resident who spoke to expressed appreciation to the Hon. Member of Parliament, indicating that the construction of the toilet facility will contribute to the eradication of open defecation which is a major problem in the community and will, therefore, ensure proper hygiene among the members of the community.  “God Bless Honorable Afenyo-Markins for his good works he is doing in Winneba. We need to work hard so that he wins the seat because he deserves it”, he said.
