World Child Cancer Donates to Korle-Bu Oncology Unit

World Child Cancer, a charitable UK based Non-Governmental Organisation(NGO) with branch in Accra, Ghana has donated items worth over 10,00 US dollars to the Korle-Bu and Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospitals.

The donation which was done yesterday was presented by Mr. Emmanuel Ayire Adongo, the Regional Coordinator of Sub-Saharan Africa.

Among the items donated include, a 50 inch flat screen TV, disinfecting wipes, Gauze, Refil Hand Sanitizers, close system transfer devices, patient Monitors, and other 13 items.

The donation that was made directly to the Pediatric Oncology Unit of the hospitals was to support children with cancer conditions and afford the hospitals an opportunity to offer an improved service to Children with Cancer conditions.

World Child Cancer believes that every child regardless of their location should have access to the best possible health care.

“As we continue to make positive impacts in the life of children, we are presenting these items which are worth over 10,000 to the Korle-Bu Teaching hospital and the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital Oncology units to improve on early detection and management of Childhood cancer in the country,” Mr. Adongo said.
