The 3rd edition of the Agricultural Students Career Guidance and Mentorship Dialogue Boot-cam p has been scheduled to come off in March 2020.
The even that seeks to to inspire and grow students in Agric and Agribusiness and startups’ exercise in the entire value chain of agriculture, while exposing them to the dynamics of the market is expected to begin from Tuesday, March 10 to Friday, March 13, 2020 at the Coconut Groove Hotel in Sakumono, Accra.
The event which is organised by the Agrihouse Foundation is will be under the theme “Growing Futures: Establishing the Agric Youth”.
Speaking at the AG-STUD Breakfast Launch, the Executive Director of Agrihouse Foundation, Alberta Nana Akyaa Akosa stated that her foundation is reinforcing the sustained growth and development of Agric students by setting up Clubs in the institutions as another important part of spiking interest in the Agricultural sector.
“The Club Units function as agri businesses, led by a Managing Director with floor Members. The Agric Businesses are the initiatives of students who are empowered to manage the growth and development of businesses”, she said.
According to her, participating schools will include the University of Ghana, University of Energy and Natural Resources, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, University for Development Studies and the University of Cape Coast.
Other participating schools are the Fair River Farm Institute, Damango Agricultural College, Asuansi From Institute and the Northern Agro-Youth Hub.
