Evelyn Naa Adjeley Commissions Salem Presby Kindergarten Block

Hon. Evelyn Naa Adjeley, Municipal Chief Executive for Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly has embarked on series of Projects to improve on level of education in her District.

In the commissioning ceremony of the Salem Presbyterian Kindergarten Block in Teshie, Hon. Evelyn Naa Adjeley expressed appreciation to her Member of Parliament Hon. Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye and the Ghana Education Trust Fund (Getfund) for their contributions towards the construction of the Kindergarten block.

According to her, this is yet another milestone of the success stories of the Assembly and the Central Government under the leadership of His Excellency President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuofo-Addo in the education sector.

According to Hon.Evelyn Naa Adjeley Twum-Gyamrah(Mrs), the Leddzokuku Municipal Assembly has embarked on the series of projects towards the provision of quality education in the Municipality for the past couple of years.

She also revealed that last year, she commissioned the first phase of the Teshie Krobo1 Basic School which was funded by the Urban Development Grant (UDG) and distributed more than 3,000 mono desk, teacher’s tables and chairs to various schools in the Municipality.

The Assembly has also undertaken the construction, expansion and refurbishment of some schools in the Municipality which include the following:
_Completion of 6-units classroom block at Tsuibleo Bethlehem
_Completion of 2-storey classroom block at Teshie Technical Training Centre
_Construction of fence walls around Teshie Northern Cluster of School, Teshie Krobo Basic School, Teshie Presby SHS and Teshie Southern Cluster of Schools
_Re-roofing of Teshie Lekma 2&3 Primary School Blocks
_Completion of Teshie Dar Es Salam Islamic Basic School
_Rehabilitation of Teshie Lekma 12 JHS Block
_Rehabilitation of Teshie Lekma 2&6 School Block

These efforts are in the line with the agenda of the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, to provide quality education at a zero or minimum cost at various stages of the educational level.
They are also working on some of the current interventions.

The MCE further expressed her appreciation to the Reverend Minister of the Teshie Salem Presby and the entire Presbyterian Church of Ghana and to the Municipal Education Directorate.

“I also wish to thank all Teachers in Teshie, especially those in Salem Presbyterian Primary, JHS and SHS”, she added.
