WBO Boxer, Patrick Allotey Regrets Beating Up Football Fan

WBO Boxer Africa Super welterweight champion, Patrick Allotey has apologised to Ghanaians for beating up Michael Shaw, a football fan last Saturday at the Accra Sports Stadium after the game between Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko.

In a Press release signed by the Patrick Allotey also known as Darling boy, he confirmed his involvement in the incidence that went viral on social media stating that, “much as I can confirm that I am the one in the video, I wish to state that I am very ashamed of my actions as a professional boxer and truly regret my actions”.

Patrick Allotey further announced steps being taken by his team and family members to reach out to his victim, Michael Siaw to remedy damage done to his facial looks during that encounter.

He also appealed to his management for forgiveness and took full responsibility for his actions.

“I wish to also appeal to my management at Cubic Promotions &Management to forgive me for that unfortunate altercation. I however take full responsibility for my actions and wish to reach to my fellow sportsmen and women out rest to help me in writing the wrongs”, it stated.
