NPP Primaries: Former Mampong MP Appeals to Purchase Nomination Forms

Former Member of Parliament for Mampong Constituency and 2015 Flagbearer Aspirant of the New Patriotic Party has appealed the Ashanti Regional Chairman Benard Antwi-Boasiako to allow him Purchase Parliamentary Nomination to enable him contest in the 2020 Parliamentary Elections.

In a letter sighted by Topnewsgh, Mr. Addai Nimoh accused the Constituency Chairman of denying him access and obstructing him from purchasing the forma at the Constituency Level.

He further accused the Constituency Chairman of unilaterally selling all three nomination forms without recourse to the Chairman of the Constituency Parliamentary Elections Committee (CPEC).

“He told me blatantly that he unilaterally sold all forms without recourse to the Constituency Parliamentary Elections Committee”, he wrote.

In the appeal to the Regional Chairman, Mr. Addai Nimoh attached a GCB payment order of GHc 2,000 in favour of the New Patriotic Party.

His appeal is based on paragraph 11 of the Rules and Regulations which states that”In the event that a prospective aspiring candidate is denied access to Purchase Nomination Forms at the Constituency Level, he/she may do so either at the Regional Secretariat or at National Secretariat through an appeal”.
