Deputy Controller General of the Ghana Imigration Service, Laud Afrifa has sounded a Caution to residents along boader communities to desist from smuggling foreigners into the country or aiding the illegal entry of foreigners .

He made this call at the Press Briefing of the Ministry Information on the Coronavirus Pandemic.

According to him, Broader Patrol Officers deployed to man all unapproved routes have arrested some Ghanaians and returned some foreigners who attempted to cross into Ghana.

He also elaborated on action taken by the service in conjunction the Police Service to Prosecute Ghanaians who aided these foreigners into entering the country, while an American and a Ghanaian who is a medical doctor returning from the USA are currently being quarantined.
