“In the Bible when Moses had to go, Joshua was told to get up and take the mantle. Maybe I’ve been behaving as a Jonah for so long, running away from what destiny has for me, I’ve ended up in the belly of whales, and I’ve ended up at the bottom of ships. I’ve been vomited on sea shore”, he said proverbially.

The commemoration was also used to perform a sod cutting ceremony for the renovation of the Assomdwee Park, the final resting place of late Professor John Evans Atta Mills.
