“In the Bible when Moses had to go, Joshua was told to get up and take the mantle. Maybe I’ve been behaving as a Jonah for so long, running away from what destiny has for me, I’ve ended up in the belly of whales, and I’ve ended up at the bottom of ships. I’ve been vomited on sea shore”, he said proverbially.

Speaking further on plans for the Mills Foundation , the emotional CEO of the Atta Mills Institute further stated that “I now accept my destiny, I have a duty and a role to perform in this country, via the Atta Mills Institute, and I will do it for God’s kingdom to be established”, he said emotionally, looking to the skies.

The commemoration was also used to perform a sod cutting ceremony for the renovation of the Assomdwee Park, the final resting place of late Professor John Evans Atta Mills.
