WR NPP Youth Organizer leads Delegation of Youth Wing to CDD Youth Policy Debate

As 2020 general elections approach various Civil Society Organizations have started embarking on agenda to make the elections issues-based: hence the organization of this Youth Policy under the theme: Engendering National and Local Conservation on Youth Issues ahead of Election 2020″ by CDD Ghana in collaboration with Youth Bridge Ghana.

The lead speaker for NPP from Western Regional Youth Wing was Samuel Kakapiakaa Afrifa, the Deputy Western Regional Youth Organizer. He eloquently outlined the youth based policies the NPP Government under President Kufour. Those included: National Youth Employment Program, National Health Insurance Scheme, free maternal care and delivery, Construction of Sports stadia just to mention a few.

Under President Nana Akufo-Addo, he indicated that Free SHS, NABCO, Youth in Afforestation, NEIP, Decentralisation of Government Scholarships and many other policies put in place to liberate the energies of the youth have all been implemented to support them live comfortably in the country.

On the part of the Western Regional Youth Organizer, Benedict Addae argued that since the inception of the NPP Government, under Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, over 60,000 teachers have been recruited into the various areas in the educational sector. He again mentioned the restoration of Teacher and Nursing Training Allowances, introduction of life changing policies in YEA such as Artisanal and Job Center modules.

The delegation included Nana Kwame Eshun- Takoradi Constituency Youth Organizer, Kobina Jordan – Sekondi Youth Organizer, Collins Quagrine – Deputy Shama Youth Organizer, Stephen Cudjoe- Esikado- Ketan Constituency Youth Organizer and Gregory Otoo (popularly known as Aki) a member of the Regional Youth Wing.

The participants seemed to agree with the argument the lead speaker, Samuel Kakapiakaa Afrifa put forward and commended highly.
