Formal Chief of Defence Staff, Brigadier General Nunoo Mensah has Join the Ghana Union Movement led by Reverend Kwabena Andrew, popularly known as Osofo Kyerabusum.

Speaking to Araba Koomson on Joynews, General Nunoo Mensah disclosed that he believed in the message of the political movement of the leader of the GUM, a vision far from just getting political power to drive land cruisers around while things go bad in the country.

Responding to why he did not stay in the NDC after being appointed as his Chief of Defense Staff twice to ensure that things are done right, he disclosed that President Mahama was not ready to listen to him.

“Ask President Mahama why he sacked me, a Man who has trained all over the world and you replace him with just anybody. Araba, Ghanaians don’t like truth, me I will live and die by the truth,” he said.

The retired General further disclosed that his mission for joining GUM is not to gain political power but to ensure that things change in this country, a promise he has made to himself to ensure before he die.

He further reiterated that the two main political parties do not have what it takes to run the country, hance his decision to join GUM.
