Mahama Promises to Increase Allocation to Persons Living with Disability

Former President John Dramani Mahama on his tour of the Upper West Region has been. Promising the people of the region and the country of what his next government Intends to do for the people.

Recent among the promises is his pledge to prioritize measure aimed at addressing challenges faced by persons living with disability by provising them with the needed attention.

Further explaining his pledge, the NDC Presidential Candidate promised that his government will increase allocation to persons living with disability under the District Assemblies common fund which will be managed by persons living with disability.

According to him, the fund will be managed by a board of trustees who will have the responsibility of making decisions in programs and projects that will benefit them.

“…. People living with disability will form a board of trustees to manage their own special account as well as make decisions about investing in programmers and projects that benefits them from their share of the District Assemblies common fund”, he added.
