Member of Parliament for Klottey-Korley Constituency, Hon. Zenator Rawlings has raised concerns with the provisional voters Register in her Constituency claiming that over Two Thousand names have been deleted from the register by the Electoral Commission.
In a Facebook Comment, the NDC MP urged all to visit their Exhibition centers to check their names in the register, adding that the action by the EC has the tendency to undermine the public trust ahead of the upcoming December General Election.
She urged Ghanaians to make sure they saw their names themselves, corresponding to the photographs and genders before believing whatever they have been told.
“In a newly compiled Voter’s register!!
Over 2000 names deleted from the register in Klottey-Korle, with over 500 deleted from one centre!!! Undermining public trust ahead of Dec 7, 2020 General Elections. I strongly urge everyone to go to their respective centres to check their names.”
The MP called on the Electoral Commission to take steps to ratify the problem immediately before submitting a final album to political parties.
“The EC must put in place immediate measures to rectify this situation”.
In her post, she attached a list of the affected centres in the Klottey-Korley constituency and their corresponding deleted numbers.
