The Fight is on, Afenyo-Markin Promises UEW Authorities

Member of Parliament for the Effutu Constituency, Hon. Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin has called on the University of Education, Winneba to respect the wish of the people of his Constituency or be ready to continue the long standing fight that has existed between him and the University.

According to the MP, the University’s refusal to respect local content and neglect for the Corporate Social Responsibility has always been the reason for his battle with the University over the last 4 years.

“We have depended on the University for far too long for employment and as you know, I have been fight the University for the last 4 years because they don’t really care about this community”.

The Member of Parliament enphatically stated that he will continue to take the University on until the University recognizes the Effutu community as partners and at least reserve 30 percent jobs, contracts and supply works for the local people.
