Builders Are Advised to Desist From Tipping Sand and Stones on Roadside

NADMO GA EAST would like to bring to the notice of Landlords and Building Contractors that the attitude of tipping sand and stones on roadsides is unlawful and a key source of danger to humanity which should not be entertained in our communities.

As part of measures to bring sanity in our communities and reduce accidents the NADMO Director of Ga East Municipality – Mr Seth Osei Kissi has advised that builders should desist from tipping of sand and stones on road sides as it obstructs traffic, flooding and cause accidents, killing innocent road users.

The NADMO boss who has initiated the project ” Disaster Management Closer to your community” said he will ensure the development of a community based volunteer capacity on mitigation of Hazards and Disasters, to which of course he has started in his Municipality.

He warned that he is going to work in close partnership with the law enforcement agencies on this project.

Speaking to opinion leaders at Ashongman Estates – a suburb of Ga East Municipality Mr Seth Osei Kissi referred to the Regional Minister’s agenda of “Accra must work again”.

He stated, he believes it will take a collaborative efforts and disciplined attitude from all stakeholders to achieve such a goal.
